You will see some comprehensive measurements pretty soon from a credible 3rd party. Its one of the subs that will be featured in Audioholics subwoofer shootout.

Its looks like a REALLY promising product from HSU and priced right as well.

That's a nice looking sub, having owned a few Hsu subs I bet it will be a nice performer as well.

Dr. Hsu makes a good subwoofer. That and the Epik look like great subwoofer values.

To me all the value is lost when you factor in shipping costs to Canada.

Yes, I like the looks of the Epiks, but the shipping is not trivial. $79 for the Legend and $139 for the Empire to WA. Ouch.

Shipping was one reason I didn't go with Epik, even though they are just north of here about 60 miles it would have coast $79. Pick up wasn't an option either as they are not open on the weekends.

That's crazy, Rick.

I'm curious to see how it will perform during the shootout against the competition. I would have really liked to see the Epik Empire and the ED A5-350 at the shootout as well as these 2 subs always come up on the internet when looking for great subs in this price range. Too bad. I hope the new HSU will become one of these "great value for the money".

Looks nice. I love my EP800s, but I'm still always curious about all of these other brands of subwoofers.

Thanks for the info, Bruno. I like the loook of the rosewood model.

Can somebody explain what variable Q means and what is the advantage?
