NaNoWriMo.orgWho all is going to attempt it this year? I'll give it another go. I liked some of the material I got from it the last time around, even if I didn't get close to the word count goal.
I can't believe it is almost time again. I have serious doubts about my time and energy level to complete it this year, though. Still, even getting some of it done is like a small victory.
Count me in.

I guess novelists don't do so well with html.
Yay, I actually started. Haven't achieved my daily quota yet, but it's a solid start for the first couple hours of November. I'll have to dig in tomorrow evening and see how far ahead I can get.
I've been kinda dreading this day. Finally settled on an idea a couple days ago. I'll muster up some energy to start this craziness when I get home from work this afternoon.
Good luck, CV!
Good luck to you, too! Once again, I didn't spend any time coming up with ideas, so I'm winging it. What's coming out is fairly weird, but when is that not the case?
Up to 2085 words, but I hate everything I wrote today.
Better than me, CV. Only got to 400 words or so before I stopped. I hope to have more energy tonight.
I hope you do. I think I'll just keep introducing new characters until some of them stick and I want to continue writing about them. Here's hoping I actually find those characters. Ha ha.
My friend here at a tech conference in LA sent me a link to his novel. Says he finished his 50,000 words in two hours.

What??? That makes no sense.
That is 416 words per minute which is just shy of double the world typing record according to Wiki.

She already watches the mouse pointer go all over the screen.
Apparently, plagiarism is now simply a "cut and paste" thing. Kidding. But, seriously, Peter, the average reader covers < 250 wpm. Mult X 60 and you get 15,000 wph. He had to COMPOSE at > 3X the rate of reading. A two-hour lecture would not contain 50,000 words, even mine!
