In recognition for the best evening of audio reproduction in my life, I hereby award Ian of Axiom a distinguished and coveted five lampshades.

The sublime event was powered by EL84 tubes. A Yamaha CD player and pink M3's delivered Gillian Welch and David Rawlings' voices and instruments.

The Axiom M3 V3's transcend any adjective that might describe them and are themselves an experience.

Axiom M3 V3 are miracle workers. Somehow they overcame the distortion of my tube amplifier and the lack of Dolby PLXII to present a wondrous evening of music.
Axiom M3 V3 lead to regime change in communist North Korea. A pair of Axiom M3 V3's confiscated by North Korean Paramilitary Commandoes found their way to the residence of Kim Jong-il. A short time later he was dead. An unconfirmed and unidentified household staff member said that Kim was found dead with his turntable spinning with the cartridge in the lead out groove. Shortly before his passing it is reported that Kim said, "That he could now die because he had finally listened to the most beautiful speakers in the world."

Album on the turntable: Close to You by The Carpenters.

This was considered to be a major diplomatic coup by the Canadian government with the only ill effects being Amie of Axiom having to field some unruly emails from an angry South Korean resident waiting for his Axiom M3 V3's to arrive.
As seen on the Drudge Report:

Axiom family and community rejoices in the recent awards and activity garnished by the Axiom M3 V3's but everyone wishes that idiot in Massachusetts would go back into seclusion.

As quoted by another forum member, "We tolerated his ridiculous Blu Ray reviews for years. That best thing that ever happened to us was when his feelings got hurt and he went away."
Not sure what I can add to this... except since owning my M3s I have lost weight, bought a plastic car, met Jack, and sold my M60s. No wonder they are so lampshadeable.

Now that the new VP160 is out I shall be once again buying the M60s and switching the M3s over to a stereo setup.

The "met Jack" had to be a low point. grin
Prince William and Kate Middleton's Royal tour of Canada: The Duchess gushed over the beauty of Canada and her people. William had a lovely time but many noticed a certain edginess about him. It turns out that he could not wait to get back to Buckingham Palace and listen to his new Axiom M3 V3's. They were secretly made in the Axiom custom shop. They are red and sport miniature bear skin hats. Ian of Axiom said no crossover changes were needed to accommodate the hats because frankly, the M3 V3's are so brilliantly designed and don't have much of a crossover anyway. The M3 V3's are tucked away in a secret room where the Prince can "get away" from it all. They are under surveillance by Scotland Yard when the Prince is away to ensure that Harry does not turn the Prince's Audio Note tube amp up too loud. Prince William listens in 2 channel stereo ,of course, as he is a member of the Windsors and a staunch traditionalist.

Queen Elizabeth admonishes Prince William after discovery of Axiom M3 V3's in secret room of Buckingham Palace. Axiom M3 V3's go missing. They were later found in the Queen's chambers where she was listening to her Beatles records.
In a rare display of emotion, she smiled and declared that the boys hadn't sounded this good since their last royal command performance.

As Sovereign of England and Canada she claimed that the speakers were rightfully hers.
Excellent! Too funny you guys!

Whoa!!! Chris!!!

F'awesome posts!

Those new tubes we listened with yesterday really HAVE changed your life, huh?

Let this be a lesson. This is what happens when one leaves a newlywed alone too long.

Next time I'm over, if I spy a rectangular lump under your bedcovers, I'm tellin' Jay! Or JP!
