...relative.

My sister has really bad hearing, and she wants to watch TV and movies with her family. She has a newer Panasonic Viera TV and is looking to get some sort of wireless headphones, but I don't think that the Viera has a stereo plug or RCA jacks to connect to.

She would be using the headphones in ADDITION to regular sound coming out of the TV for the rest of the family.

Any ideas? I've never seen the setup, so I can't get a first hand analysis...
Here's a quote from here.

"I don't think I've seen a TV with a headphone jack since the '80s. Most TV's these days are designed to be plugged into a receiver so I would suggest the cheapest HtiB you can find with a headphone jack. You can also find wireless headphones that plug directly into the optical jack for around $100 if you don't mind spending the cash that's the way to go."
Here's some called the Sennheiser RS120. The reviews say people buy them to use with their TV.

Nick, note one of today's Woots.

I have no idea of the reviews or anything, but thought I'd point it out!
I think I've got her on the right track. She DOES in fact have a HTIB and it DOES have a headphone jack. I told her to grab a pair of headphones and make sure that the speakers and headphones are working at the same time. Then to just order some wireless headphones with their own volume jack so that she can turn it up or down a little independently from the main speakers. I haven't heard back on her test or purchase. She likes the over the ear ones better as I found out when I too saw the woot today.
