Just got a pair of Grado SR-80 Headphones. They sound nice.
okay, I'll bite, because... two weeks ago I bought a pair of SR60s.

in the store I listened to the SR60s, SR80s, and headphones by PSB, Sennheiser (Momentum), and one other around $300, can't remember the brand but I assure you it wasn't Beats or Bose.

I found the Grados most comfortable of all and any difference in sound wasn't enough to pay 2 or 3 times the price.

They absolutely blow away the Sennheiser cordless set I have been using with the computer. The Grados are downstairs for late night movies and music.

Props to the store (can I name them? Whitby Audio Video) for giving me as much time as I wanted and a huge selection of music - via Sonos and a Bryston amp. And for being generally good guys.

Went looking for some headphones for work a while back now that I have my FLAC collection there too to listen to during the day. Couldn't go open design as there's too much sound bleed and it'd drive the neighbours nuts. Also, it gets loud at times so some sort of noise cancellation would bee a benefit. Went Canadian and got a pair of the PSB M2U's. Very comfortable to wear for extended periods ... even with eyeglasses on. Find the noise cancellation a bit bright though. Pretty good isolation so I don't need to use it too often.
