In the other post we talked about how there was not too much originality in the movie. I think there were many homages in this film. I am going to start off with a few.

When Morgan Freeman was firing the belt fed fed weapon, he paraphrased Roy Schneider in Jaws. "Come on you son of a bitch"

Three drones flying through a canyon in the same formation as Darth Vader and two tie fighters.

When a drone is destroyed outside the scab base, it spins wildly firing in all directions like the Death Blossom maneuver in The Last Starfighter.

The little plant that he has in the can is like the plant that Wall-E found.

The movie poster with the water falling between the skyscrapers reminds me of the tall skysrapers that are falling into the ocean in Inception when they go down to Limbo.

You are spot on with the wall-e reference
