I seem to recall this was posted before, but a search did not do me much good. Is there an easy way to rip audio from youtube video to an .mp3 file (mac friendly preferred)?

Yup.

First use YTD Video Downloader to download the video, then use VirtualDub to extract the audio from the video.

I think mediaconverter.org allows you to convert the video to an MP3.

Not sure about the quality of the result, but it should work.

I use Audials (it's not free) for PC. One step. Dean uses it, too.
