Well, I usually try to keep it contained to threads that could be considered off-topic to begin with... although I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find plenty of examples to the contrary.

Our post counts used to be nearly dead even, but you've started to pull away from me. (nah...I'm not competitive at all! You should see me on the tennis court!)

If I were any good at tennis, I'd hate to see the intensity of a game between us. When it comes to sports, I'm very competitive.

I told my boss I'd go if I could bring my wife and child and expense the ticket.
