There has been nothing posted here for such a long time it am going to assume that everyone is on vacation. i prefer that to a Zombie apocalypse that has wiped out all the western part of north america that i missed seeing on the news as i was busy obsessing on this forum.

Hello. is there anyone alive out there??

I would gather that now Donald Trump has been officially confirmed as the Republican presidential nominee and has announced his plans to destroy both the financial system and the environment, many are probably pre-occupied with making plans of how to get out of the country.

No. No there isn't. smile

I've wondered the same thing, but in my case assumed it WAS a zombie apocalypse.

I'm here every day, but you all know me.... My posts are usually in response to something, and I don't start new topics very often, so when other people are quiet, I am too (but I am here).

As for the Trump comments from casey01, I just figured that he started building a wall between the US and Canada already and the data bits weren't making it through.

Although, it could also be that Hillary illegally used the same servers that Axiom uses for the web site to store her classified emails and the server has been getting "scrubbed" and frantic deletions have been happening.

Or maybe it is Bernie and his "everyone shares, even though only a fraction pays" and he took over the servers that Axiom paid for, and started offloading the information to a general storage pool and is stealing, I mean "borrowing" 75% of the bandwidth that Axiom pays for in order to give that 75% to someone who can't afford internet so that they can get Google fiber at their government provided housing so that they can "search for jobs" while they drive around in their newer SUV to buy a 65" TV and the latest PS4 and XBox One for their kids... Oh wait, that is Obama.

(Sorry, I just am feeling "all inclusive" this morning, and wanted to get a jab at all of those political buffoons in all major parties.)

It's really hard to be critical of political candidates in the United States when Canada has Kathleen Wynne and Justin Trudeau making decisions for our province and country.

I'd take Donald Trump over these two jokers any day.

Perhaps even Hillary too! shocked crazy

Unfortunately the global financial system has already been destroyed beyond repair & Trump had nothing to do with it. The fact is, there is not enough wealth in the world to cover crippling debt & unfunded liabilities that virtually all governments worldwide (regardless of political stripe) have irresponsibly accumulated since WWII.

The only way out is to allow the 'laws of economics' to run their course to force a complete financial system collapse & start over. Sadly a long period of chaos & violence most likely will follow.

Hopefully I'll be long gone before it all happens...

Matt and fellow Canadians, this is a 3-day, federal holiday weekend in the US. Monday is Memorial Day, when we honor all those who have served and fallen.

Many take either this or next week as a vacation to tack on a paid vacay day.

It always used to get slow in the summer here. Now that it's slow all the time, the Forum will approach a state of cryonic suspension.

At least there are the weekend spammers with links to live-streaming sports events.

90% of us will attend a cook-out this weekend. For 60% of us it will be involuntary.

I log in most days as well, though here on the west coast most of us are just so happy it's raining again. That we're stuck out side in our gardens.
Hopefully some of our rain can make it to Alberta.
P.S. Congrats on the A.D.A. purchase Matt hope it helps your Hum issue.

Up here in Canada there is a brief period every year (1-2 weeks) when grass & weeds grow like crazy, so you have to be out pretty much every day if you don't want the jungle to take back your house. No time for internet.

After that it pretty much stops growing until the fall.

So far we're on our second day of rain over here in Vancouver.
The dandelions and weeds are almost on steroids. Amazing how the acids in the rain affect weeds, from brown and dying to a foot tall in 24 hours.
