Are you all as disappointed as I am that Carl's life was cut short? I not only liked the kid, I felt there could have been a deeper exploration of Negan's relationship with him.

Wasn't he killed off a while ago? I stopped watching TWD about 2 seasons ago, but I agree that the relationship could have been interesting.

He died in season 8. The last episode in season 7 and all of season 8 really got to me. I have not seen season 9 yet.

That relationship is enhanced through other characters in season 9. Season 9 was a return to form for the series, as the new show runner has a much better handle on the franchise.
