Here in SE Michigan things are loosening up a bit. Hopefully not prematurely. I know there is a local loudspeaker manufacturer who has brought his crew back in. They’re assessing what was left at what state of production when the Govenors emergency stay st home order went into effect. I guess trying to pick up where they left off so to speak.
Wonder if Axiom was required to shut down for any length of time?
Jeff
Just in case anyone is interested.

A close friend is an epidemiologist. She mentioned there were a few prevalence studies early on and the total cases are actually far higher than reported. One of the studies was in New York State. Turns out Covid is far less deadly than reported, and orders of magnitude more cases than reported. Cases are likely in the millions in that state alone.

The total death rate is actually extremely low and infections are actually extremely high. Most people have no or very minor symptoms. The vast majority of deaths are in people with pre existing conditions or reduced immune function. Nursing homes are at great risk.

The reach of the pandemic is FAR greater than reported in terms of cases.

I will ask her for a link to the study if it is public.
There are three of them so far. Here are the links:

Yes, but you can't destroy our economy unless you scare the bejeezes out of the people. Whole sectors of the economy will never come back, and those who worked in those sectors will become dependent on the government. Taxes? Through the roof! We already pay 13% California income tax. What will the fed top rate be after the multi-trillion dollar handouts? Our liberties will be a thing of the past.

And, there won't be that much money around for audio.
Hindsight will be 20/20 as always. Changed my perspective forever.

The takeaway should be we were lucky it wasnt a more deadly virus -see 1918. Not economics.... smile

Sooooo many people had/will have it soon. Pretty scary just how vulnerable we are as a species in the big picture.

Just Humans afterall....

In Ontario where Axiom is located and in Canada in general, I believe Axiom would not have been classified an "essential service" and would have had to close.
Audio not an essential service? That's crazy!
Phil,
I know, right, how could it be considered non essential?
