$650 for a pair of maple M80s, awfully tempting considering the upgrade would give me Axioms top of the line system. Too bad my current living room is really too small for them.
wow...I can't believe they only sold for $650. The seller should have put them on Audiogon. He/she could have gotten a lot more. (and not had to pay Ebay's fees!)
OK...now there are a pair of M60's on Ebay. But get this. Starting bid, for a used pair is $750. The "Buy it Now" is set at $900. That's $100 more than a brand new pair, and the buyer pays shipping. Some people...geeesh.
Still a mistake, selling 9 mo old speakers for the same price as new. And not even a real picture of the things! Of course, I suppose they're already broken in, and you're paying for that service... [evil grin]
'I am interested in your M60's, but was wondering why they are priced so high? I can get a brand new pair from Axiom for below this cost. Any chance you will be lowering your price?'
Here is his reply:
'I may consider reducing the price in a few days. I was baseing my price
based on what I had paid for them 9 months ago. It seems that the prices
dropped a little or something as I remember paying $1050 for them when I had
placed the order.
Thanks for your interest
Steve'
Only thing I can think of is he is Canadian and listed these in US dollars by mistake.
