sorry for the delay and rushed quality...but it's here.

Not the best set-up, but it works for now...

The radio...

The oven...

The television.

Wow! Very nice. The speakers are great (of course). But, I really love that radio and the PINK OVEN!? Some of my friends here in SF would love it!

excellent and congrats to you

Nice oven. The more I look at the first pic, does anyone else think that VP150 looks kinda big in comparison to the M60? That's a lot of speaker.

so that's the pretty pink oven we're trying to get parts for? frigidaire might want it in it's museum!

I dig the pink oven, but the radio is REALLY cool. Oh! The speakers ain't bad, either!

I'm curious about the guitars.
Posted By: squirrelyz Re: pics - finally - 05/01/04 04:28 PM
the acoustics (yamaha and hohner) are sitting on stands to the left of the television, with two chairs so anyone can sit and strum if they'd like. The brown leather case holds a Studio Les Paul that gets plugged into the Line6 - probably played too loud, too late, too often.

BTW - the pink oven is toast. I pulled it out today and all the wires are brittle and burned...seems too risky to keep it hooked up.

Looks like we have a fair amount of musicians in this forum. I have a few guitars that are nothing to brag about. But I do have a Fender Deluxe Reverb amp built in Feb 65. Looks like crap but has tone to die for.

i agree.. the 150 almost looks like an M60 turned on its side. it also might not be helping that the entertainment center looks like a smaller one. no offense billy.. the color of the speakers matches awesome with the furniture. too bad about the stove.. i am waiting for 'video killed the radio star', to come blaring out of that old TV one day..

thats cool to leave out guitars to play. i love going to friends houses and just start strummin. i would leave mine out, but i am scared my son would break it!!

Hey bigjohn -

Thanks for the words. I should mention that I took the photo with a Nikon D100 using a 24MM lens (which is really 36mm when you adjust for the difference between digital and film - so, there is a bit of distortion at the edges (which you can see if you look at the edge of the photo in relation to the edge of the speakers.

With that said - yes, the VP150 is bigger than I had imagined.

The entertainment center is kind of small (no offense taken bigjohn - it's my roomy's. I'd prefer a widescreen with a rack to the side and no entertainment center - btw that thing is really heavy) - it runs 63 1/2" wide x 52 1/4" high. I'll see if I can get a photo of me in there this evening for scale.

I'd love to get anything blarring out of that old tv.

Many of my friends can play a MEAN guit-box, so the guitars stay out to encourage people to play. Two friends in particular can pick some wicked blues. As for me, I play around, practice, play chords and back up the guys who really know how to play.

I hope all you guys are having a good weekend...I've been having a great day.

billy-

well, when i said "small" entertainment center, that was relative to mine. or should i say, the one my wife preferred.. it is solid oak, 7 ft wide, 7 1/2 ft tall, and 2 ft deep.. talk about HEAVY.. i am really dreading having to pull that bohemith out from the wall to get all my stuff hooked up, that is, if it ever gets here.

i am like you as far as playing the guit-fiddle(as i call it).. i can pick a little and play chords, but i mainly play rhythm behind the guys that know what the hell they are doing.. i sing a lot of one man kinda stuff, so its ok that i am not real good. i dont have to be.

i see no distortion, great pics. HEY, and what are you doin jackin around here.. i thought you were supposed to be tying to fix that dang intercom system.. SLACKER!!

Bigjohn -

Just starting to wind it down - gonna fire up the grill soon and maybe drag a guit-fiddle outside and strum 3 chords and sing sumpin...I don't have to be good either, everyone else I know is great.

I've been looking around for an oven replacement...think I found one at Lowe's. Once I get that going, I'll move on to the intercom...but, I have another project - I want to build an "L" shaped deck out back and save $$ to get a hot tub by next year. So that's the next big project - building the deck. Hope to be done by summer's end (build and buy when I can).

Blabbed enough - gotta fire the grill.

Mmmm, bar-b-q.... Aaaaagh. Have you ever seen that show called "BBQ U"? Talk about sweet torture. It's on my local public station, or at least it was. It only ran for a short time, but they did everything: smoking, seafood, gas, charcoal, wood, desserts. Everything. Damn, now I'm hungry.

hey buddie, if you're shopping for a new wall oven, don't get a maytag dual fuel; they've been recalled. try to get a unit with the old fashioned controls. ie. rotary thermostat with a knob, and either a bake/broil switch on one intergrated into the thermostat. in other words, no computer boards.

But did anyone notice the Remote Control table that barely had enough room for the beer hugger?
