Everybody to my house for BEER,
and install................Please!?
Awesome. I have had that receiver for about a month and I am very pleased. What kind of beer? It will have to be Boddington's for me to come all the way from Indiana. Enjoy the new receiver.

More CLASSIC advice from bigjohn!
Congrats, Bray. "Will work for beer" is in my genes, but I just can't swing the commute. My maximum drive to help people with hi-fi stuff is about 1,200 miles. Sorry.
We need to set up some sort of traveling Texas Axiom party to drink from your place, to bigjohn's to WhatFurrer's. Kind of like those road trips NBA teams do where they play the Rockets, Spurs and Mavericks in four days.
Hope you enjoy the new blinky thingamabob.
I'm going to be in Houston next week. How far are you from there?
going to houston for business or pleasure?
my wife and i will be down there the weekend of oct 22nd thru the 24th for a wedding. one of her good college friends is getting married to a rich guy, so it should be nice.. there is supposed to be a very nice sit down reception dinner, and an open bar.. now thats my kinda party!!!
the only thing that sucks about the whole deal is having to go to houston. that town is truly the arm-pit of texas. its too big, and dirty, and it just stinks. besides the food and free beer, the best part of that trip will be seeing houston in my rear view mirror!!

Where in hell is ups?
I bet they dont show up until 6:30 if at all.
Too far. I'd need to do it round trip after work hours.
Its heerrrree. Woohoo!!!
I found a local guy to come set it up for me, and I get to keep my beer.
Its only gonna cost me $40.00. I think that is well worth it, considering I dont have much more hair to lose.
I'm sure I could work my way through it, by taking bigjohns advice, but I would rather drink a beer and watch, and maybe learn something.
bray, if this has the On Screen Display (menu on the TV) like my 3803, and you can't figure out how to get it onto the screen, try using an S-Video cable.
Once I figured out that the guy setting my system up was a heroin addict and was going to his truck for a fix every time he got real irritable, I paid close attention to what he was doing so I could know how to troubleshoot after he left...although some of my questions on the stereo boards show how ignorant I still am about all this stuff....
