Ray mentioned in a post a few minutes ago that the forums should be fun as well as educational. Since everything he says is the Gospel to me, and since there are many dog lovers here, and since everyone always wants to see photos posted.....
Remember this dog that I touted as being so handsome?
Well, THIS is how he spends snowy NH winters...Inverted on the bed:
When you start to wake him, he looks like this:
Until he gives you that look as if saying: "You didn't just take my picture, did you? You're not going to post that on the internet, are you?
Well, all I can say is - Yea, verily!
By the way, is that one of those Northern Short Hair Smilers? Very rare breed.
thats funny.. i look just like that when i get woken up also.
a dog thread.....? i think we need to bump the beer thread!! i am going to the liquor store tonight..
i will get some pics of my chocolate lab soon..
bigjohn
Yes, and I think that you should turn down THE STEREO..and cut back the vodka in his Alpo!!!!
Will he be joining the weekend?
Mark
Thankyou very much for a VERY GOOD LAUGH!!!!!! I needed that!
Mark, he's starting to look like your avatar. That's not a good sign.
How do you post pics here? And for that matter, how do you create simple links that everyone can click on.
Wow mace - I hope the top one takes after you and not your wife!
Snippy,
It is fairly easy, just read the FAQ section next to Who's Online.
For images, you use photobucket.com and then use the image tag pointing to my images. For ex. [img]http://pathtofile[/img] Make sure you don't post to big of pictures, the FAQ section tells you what guidlines to follow.
For addresses, use [url]http://address[url] and the link will show up as the actual address in your post. Or you can get fancy and do [url=http....]This is the link to my website[/url] In this example the users will see your phrase as a link, not the address.
Going by that second picture, I would hope you don't walk around your home naked if you're well-endowed.
Aren't all Axiom owners well endowed.
HEY... my wife is an axiom owner too??!!!!!
bigjohn
pmbuko: lol.....FYI that is my fiancee cat suit tail that Oscar Mayer is biting.
bigjohn, rest easy. The "well-endowed" moniker graciously transfers to the appropriate body part(s) when applied to the opposite sex.

Hell, Peter if you know anybody
that well endowed, you let me know. I gotta see that! LOL!
In reply to:

$HIT... me too..!!
wow, as usual, this thread is going in the wrong direction...
BTW- peter, my wife is nursing, so YES, she is very well-..... oh forget about it..
bigjohn
If ya'll dont straighten, up I'll sick her on you!
You know, I tried to post something cute, lighthearted and enjoyable, and listen to you guys!
And to think that I resisted calling this thread doggie-porn!
My kid can beat up your kid.
Now ya did it,I gotta break out the big guns now
Bet you can't let it sleep in the bed with ya at night.
Can't say I could,I don't let the dogs sleep in the bed for that matter.
I will stare you down with my
green laser eyes.
Tried to be artsy with this one. Good natural lighting.
Lets see if I can do this:
Yay for me. This is Jake, and he is hilarious.
Dog "lover" is probably too strong. Tillie was a surprise gift from my wife's parents for my daughter's 4th birthday, now almost 7 years ago. We cohabitate. She is all elbows, is very sweet, not at all gentle, and has no idea she weighs 60 pounds. She is a nose with a dog attached.
Peter, I like that picture very much.
Since we're on the topic...
We were taking care of a dog for some friends a couple weeks ago while they wee out of town. Our schedules didn't mesh completely -- we needed to be at my sister's place for a few days at Christmas and she didn't want an extra dog coming -- so we arranged to drop the dog off at a boarding place for a few days in the middle. The dog, Nico, didn't know us very well so he was pretty aloof most of the time, but he started to relax by the time we needed to drop him off at the boarding place.
The day we needed to board him, my wife first took him on a long hike with our dog, then delivered him to the boarder. The next morning, our dog Sunny starting barking like there was someone at the door. When my wife checked to see who was there, Nico was waiting there with his tail wagging and let himself in.
The amazing thing is that the boarding place is about 5 miles away form our house, and there were quite a few busy streets to cross in between. My wife was quite touched that he wanted to get back to us so badly. Dogs -- what
are they thinking?
I took Jake on a hike up to the top of Mt. Bishop here in San Luis Obispo.
Hey all.
My wife and I recently got a new puppy. She's a golden retriever and is about 10 weeks old at this point.
She fell off the bed about a week ago and broke her little leg. She should be out of her cast in about another week. She about as cute as they come (but then again, I'm a little biased...)
Great looking puppy! I love Goldens!
Thanks, Mark...
We (my wife and I, that is) have been taking more pictures than we know what to do with - we're both treating her like a new-born. But what's the point of getting a puppy if you're not going to spoil her, right?
Well, yeah, but remember too that spoiled puppies turn into spoiled adult dogs and then you end up with the type of photos I started the thread with...!
She sleeps in bed with my wife and I - I think I'm beyond being warned at this point. I'm pretty much into it for a full share.
well, being that you live on the 3rd floor, who gets to take her out for the 3am potty break?
bigjohn
Good memory, and good question. Right now, she's being paper trained, so it's no big deal to get up at 3:30 or so and show her where the paper is.
We're starting this week to begin moving the paper to the door, and having her go outside. We're both looking at multiple trips during the day downstairs and it'll probably be my job to get her up in the middle of the night. Good times, eh?!
Had to check in with Capn_Pickard to see how his puppie is doing, and brag a bit that Gus made the cover of Dog Expose' Magazine:
Nicely done !
If I scan the bar code at the local supermarket what will the cash register tell me I just bought ?
friggin' Hound of the Baskervilles there!!
gotta put up a pic of my boy Freddie too. we've had him about 2 weeks, and he amazingly hasn't peed on the 60's or 350 yet!
In reply to:

I dunno. Anyone have a scanner? I just did a Google Image search for "barcode" and it was clean and good-sized, so....
Mark arent you always complaining that you are busy?
In reply to:
Mark arent you always complaining that you are busy?
Yes... always.... This took me 45 mins this Sunday morning. I get up at 5AM on Sundays so I can take some time to read the Sunday paper without feeling guilty that I should be working. This kinda globbed onto that time frame!
Quite a piece of work, there, Mark...both you and the dog, that is.
My pooch is doing jst fine these days. Out of her cast and back to full speed. She's certainly a handfull.
She hasn't chewed anything to pieces yet, and only pi$$ed on the new Pakistani carpet twice.... (and yes, you can tell - anyone got any good pee-stain remedies for vegetable died wool carpets?)
Thanks for bringing this thread back up. I haven't looked at that picture in a while - my how she has grown!
I stumbled upon this picture on a different forum. Apparently a newbie aggravated a regular and got this pic in response. I thought this thread was the best place to show it.
Nice, new avatar, Peter. Steven is growing up fast.
Your dog picture reminded me of a recent fable told to me by a colleague. I do not claim it as original.
You can tailor the story to suit yourself; the punchline involves "The Order of St. Fual".
S T F U A L
Shut The F Up And Listen.
We had buttons printed.
ooooh. Thats good. Got any extra buttons?
Shameless bump. Where are the new dogs?
I've been walking dogs at the local animal rescue foundation, cause I miss Sunshine and need a dog of my own!
I'm thinking of fostering one of the dogs for a couple days next week - if so I'll have pics.
