OK...slow day here at work.

Once Upon a Time in the West
If you like Sergio Leone westerns, (and who doesn't?) this is quite possibly one of his best, and the new restoration by Lowry Digital is stunning. At under $10 there's really no reason this shouldn't be in your collection.

This Boy's Life
In 1993 the world began to take notice of this kid named Leo. In this film, as well as the excellent "What's Eating Gilbert Grape", Leonardo Dicaprio shone. Robert Deniro gives another stellar performance as well. So good in fact, you'll really hate him. At 8 bucks they're pratically giving this movie away. Take advantage.

Shall We Dance?
There's a reason this film was remade in America. It's terrific! The remake flopped, but the original is a true cinema gem. Not exactly a bargain, but 30% off isn't anything to sneeze at either.

Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil
Kevin Spacey is a treat to watch. This film has a host of very memorable characters. 7 bucks? Grab it.

Spartacus
Stanley Kubrick, Kirk Douglas, Laurence Olivier, 50% off. Need I say more?

Risky Business
Not only Tom Cruise's big splash, this film has more style than nearly anything you see today. Love that Tangerine Dream score too! Again...only 8 bucks.

Yet another...

The Outlaw Josey Wales
One of Clint's very best westerns. If you're a Clint fan you've likely seen this film at least a dozen times. Shouldn't it be in your DVD collection? At 8 bucks it sure should be!

Titan A.E is $5.50 at target. Great surround sound demo dvd for showing off your HT goodies.

The deal on Titan A.E. must be an in-store only thing. It's $10 online.

Look around in the $5.50 bin at Wal-Mart and you can find a number of things.

Like Talking Heads? Check out True Stories...Those of you around the DFW Metroplex (depending on your age) will recognize Big Town Mall and Town East Mall in some of the wide exterior shots.

Want to show off your Sub? Godzilla (Jean Reno and Matthew Broderick) will make your sub dance.

Ally Sheedy in the tub, anyone? How about Short Circuit?

Lots to be found...Just got to be willing to dig.

Almost like dumpster diving...

i like the story, and i think its just funny as hell.. but, it never hurts when they throw jamie lee curtis in there naked..

i think that would make any movie worth $5 bucks...?

It's still $5.50 at my local Target. Maybe they just want to get you into the store.

I got Titan A.E. also at Target. Any idea what chapters to use to show the system off? (I haven't seen the movie yet).

Thanks

The whole movie is great but there are three outstanding chapters that I like to use as a demo: Chapter 1- Prologue is a good short intro to chapter 2 - The Drej Attack. Then skip over to chapter 16 - In The Ice Ring , the sound of the ice cracking and creaking and crashing into each other is just fantastic. Play it loud.

There are other good chapters as well. I love the DTS track. I think the sound engineers had a blast with this sound track.

Was it $5.50 at the Target you go to?

It was $5.50. I got it a few months ago for my son.
