I just purchased a pair of M3's (hope they arrive tomorrow).

Here's my question. I have no "bookshelf" to put the M3's on, and stands would just invite trouble (I have young kids).

Any ideas on how I can raise them about 24 inches on a very stable surface?

Thanks in advance.

PS: Love your website - extraordinarily useful and informative. Read so much great stuff about your products, decided to go with Axiom. Hoping to join the "cult" following.

Maybe you could set them on a pair of end tables?

Hi Cgilker,
I know your problem,I have a 15 month old toddler. I have M22's on 24 inch stands, but I also have them wall mounted aswell.Which my son can not bang in to them by mistake and knock them off their stands because their wall mounted.I didn't want them just wall mounted because if he was playing on the floor under the speaker and went to stand up,he would hit his head on the bottom of the speaker and get hirt. So this would solve your problem,It did for me.

Paul,
I am in the same boat...three year old...
What kind of wall mounts did you go with and which kind of stands are they? I was hoping to just use a wall bracket, but that seems like a lost cause.

I know what you mean. We have actually been working of this exact problem for the last couple of months and are starting to see some useful ideas. When we get a little closer perhaps I can post a link to some of our CAD drawings and get some comments back. Basically our thinking so far is it needs to be a solidly attached arrangement that can have either a large base or a way to secure it to the floor.

Hi Kurtis
I went to my local stereo retail store, and bought 24inch stands that look like the Axiom CSS2 STANDS FOR $69 Canadian dollars and a basic wall/back speaker mount that holds up to 20 lbs each that the sales person recommended
that he sold to me for $30 canadian funds. But I don't know the makes, sorry.
