What the heck. I will jump into the act also.

It has been more freaken years then I care to remember since my last confession.........................................

If you recall several months I was yapping about www.blacksandcable.com

I purchased some power cords and other stuff from these folks and during our dealings it was discovered that we both lived in the same town and obviously shared an interest in audio. I also very much liked the no nonsense approach to the web-site. The owner has spent a lot of time trying to educate people on myths etc. To be honest this is what got me interested in the site from the start.

Anyway, over the next few months I purchased a few more things, tossed out recommendations to a few people etc.

Not long ago I was approached about purchasing a small share of the company. After thinking about it, I did. Being the type of person I am, I didn't like having a little piece of the pie, I wanted it all. So yesterday a deal was struck and your now reading a post from the new owner of www.blacksandcable.com

Time will tell if I have lost my mind or not but this will be fun none the less. I welcome any and all suggestions, but please PM them to me.

Believe it or not I have a little integrity so any and all posts that come up concerning cables etc, I'm going to stay clear of from this point forward. I refuse to use this forum or any other that I'm a regular on to push my own agenda.

With that being said however, special deals will be put in place for all my Axiom friends! ......end of shameless plug.

I'll second the "good luck", now perhaps a name change is in order?

I do wish you success.

I can't speak for others, but I wouldn't mind you expressing you opinions about cables. However, it would be helpful if you would include something like "Owner of blacksandcable.com." or "President and CEO of blacksandcables.com." prominently in your signature. Just because you have a bias (and who doesn't) doesn't mean you should be prohibited from expressing your opinions. What's important is that your connection to the business be plainly displayed so others can take that fact into consideration when reading what you have to say.

Also I would recommend avoiding hyping your business (Axiom does sell cables), and knocking other similar businesses. But your opinions on cables in general would be welcome. Again, just my .02. Others may feel differently.

Good for you! And Congrats.
And I for one will second the notion that you should NOT steer clear of any cable conversations.
I/We have valued your opinions in the past, and see no reason why that would change. Regardless of subject.
Heck, in my mind, the more experts, the better!
As long as everyone knows your situation up front, I have a very hard time imagining anyone having a problem with it.
Just one member's opinion.
Congrats again.

Great idea Jack and thanks for it. I took your advice and added it in.

Thanks to all for the kind words. It's going to be fun and hair pulling at the same time. I inherited some staff and all the headaches that go with that but only time will tell if I made a good move or a really stupid one.

But at the end of the day, god hates a coward!

The one thing that is very interesting for me is this. As part of the purchase I inherit all competitors’ products that have been purchased and tested by the old owner. It's scary what he has done. I have a 3 foot run of $700.00 interconnects in my possession that have been cut up to test etc. I also inherited…..and get this…..a 12 foot run of speaker wire that is currently selling for close to $120.00 a foot.

Amazing what he has found out. It's shocking how many people are using the exact same cable but hide it with braiding etc.
