Happy fathers day to all the dads and dads to be.Have a wonderful day.

Well said, Wid. Happy Father's day. I was fortunate enough to play golf with my father yesterday in a tournament. Two weeks ago, I found out he was raving over the new Taylor Made R-7 driver. I showed up at the tournament with a club specced out just for him - and he is, at 69, back to hitting 240 yard drives off the tee.

The Sh*t eating grin he had on his face all day made this a GREAT day ...

Anyone else have a fun Dad's day story ?

In reply to:

he is.....69,

OH GAD! I'm only 10 years younger than his father. Had I been a precocious 14 year old, I could have BEEN his father. Now THAT's painful!

Happy Dad's day, all you pops.

Great story, Ron! And, just the best Father's day present possible.

Jack - Somehow, calling you "DAD" would be a crack up ... Perverted uncle, sure ...

Thank you, and right back at the other daddies!

I woke up today at 8:30am, 2 hours after mommy and Steven. Sleeping in is a rare gift around here.

Uncle Jack it is! Craig, I hope Craig you don't mind my mentioning this. If you do, please send me a nasty email. And, should I have my facts wrong, feel free to correct me.

Craig was able to employ his Dad for a number of years which enabled him to retire with security. Now THAT'S a Father's Day gift.

Whoops, Jack!

I just assumed that "You" were the oldest one in these parts!

I was just thinking of my Dad; he was born not in the last century, but the one before!

So was Jack

Jack, You pretty much nailed it. My dad had been "cheated" out of a commissioned sales position he worked ten years building. I hired him into my company, and he retired at 65

That happens with age.

Ah you’re still young. I’m a 38 year old grandfather. At this rate, I’ll be 60 in another two years and 80 before my 45th birth day if the granddaughter takes after her mother……

It's just an honest effort to not take myself too seriously; a fault of which I've been guilty all my life. Also, I'm finally relatively comfortable in my own skin, shortcomings and all, so making fun of my own weaknesses, or flaws, or whatever you want to call 'em, is no big deal. However, if YOU do it, I'll have to kill you.
