Any advice people....?
I am about to audition the system for a NJ localite on Saturday.

Allow them to bring a selection of their favorite music and/or movies. Also offering them a refreshing drink is nice also
Run it flat. No treble, no bass and without a doubt, no eq'ing of any kind! Sub is also optional.

Only reason I say that is because I remember the first time I went to hear a set of speakers via a similar situation. They were Dynalab's and when I was done I thought they were junk. I found out later that the system was being run hot on the treble side which totally changed the way the speakers sounded. I went back at a later date and ran the system flat. To this day, Dyna's are one of the best all around sounding speakers I have heard.

Let them listen to whatever there preference is, at the volume they prefer.................then kick back and have a cold one!

Or, if your reputation precedes you, your guest will likely bring YOU a refreshing beverage!

I hosted an audition this past Tuesday evening for kaid. He brought a bunch of music with him and listened to most of it. I also made sure to have the sub in and out of the mix once in a while.

I'm still impressed with how much bass the M22s can put out. I had to touch the driver on my SVS to make sure it was off occasionally.
Yes, thanks for the audition Peter. I've been meaning to post a little write-up of it here but, like so many other things, I hadn't gotten around to it

I too was very impressed with the amount of bass from the 22's. That chinese drum track was AMAZING with the sub, but still very respectible without it. Certainly more bass than I was expecting. In general, the speakers were clean and revealing. They sounded great on everything I threw at them: Los Lobos, Loretta Lynn, Madeleine Peyroux, the Ramones (I was suprised at how well the Ramones sounded), Blur, and a couple of other cd's I'm forgetting right now.

Anyway, thanks for the opportunity and I will be ordering 22's as soon I either a) with the raffle and get an EP500 and M22's or b) decide what color 22's to order.

Well the audition was done.... I think our friend decided that the 80's were worth the investment. His wife and kids are out of the country so he needs to make this happen quick!
I dont want to give out names....dont know how he feels.

and yes...there were beverages of an alchoholic nature brought as a gift.... None to be drank at that moment....didnt want to mess with the show.
not to hijack tarun but i just noticed you have an th hk fl8385. ive had 2 that were total pos but they were refurbs. how do you like your and did you buy it new? im wondering because when it played it was good but it just had a lot of problems.
My fl8385 was a refurb from HK ... for about 90 bucks I cannot complain. It looked new and seems to work fine for the moment.
