I've got a little problem. It started out with a simply 3 channel system of m3s and a vp100 paired with my HK avr-125 with a small velodyne vx-10. Took advantage of the 30 day trial and traded up to the m22s. Then of course I needed surrounds to complete the system...got some QS-4's four months later. I figured the system was complete, but after reading these forums and hearing so much about HSU subs, I just had to get a VTF-2.

Took a six month break from buying, but then an amazing deal came up on a pair of m80's that just so happened to be the right color. Then another deal on a HK avr-635...then a vp150. I can't stop...seriously. It's becoming a problem lol. Somebody help me.

On the bright side, I'm pretty sure it will be the best home theater at my school :P Luckily I think I'm content at the moment...probably cause I really couldn't afford the vp150.

Just wanted to say that I love the forums and all you guys are great! And the axiom customer service makes me want to move to Canada!
Thought that your post was great; however.......

You asked for help.

You probably noticed one thing........

Nobody came back with a way to help.

Generally speaking........"we are powerless to help ourselves"

You are more a part of the community than you ever imagined
Here is what you need to do box up all your equipment and send it to me right away. then throw away my address or any other way of contacting me. then have some one hit you in the head with a blunt object not hard enough to kill ya just enough so you forget about your equipment or who i am.
Jake
LOL!

Ok so what's your shipping address?!
"Upgraditis" is known to start out innocently enough.

In my case it was the discovery that a small nail worked better and longer in my 78rpm player than a needle torn from the tree in my back yard in the late 40s.

It only gets worse.
For some reason, Jake's post seems like deja vu.
Jserv, did you ever try the 80's with the H/K 125? I have the AVR110 and would love to get the 80's but know that I would be pushing it. If you still have it could you give it a shot? My current use is almost all HT.

The wife approved new speakers so I figured it would be easier to get the speakers then if the receiver can't handle it I have no choice but to get a new one
Oooooh.......that sort of deviousness has to be...... applauded....(and copied)
Try opening your mail, especially the bill for the credit card that's been taking all those purchase hits. If that doesn't do the trick, nothing will.
Yup...Just another of those pesky "downsides" that pop up just when you're having the most fun.

Ain't fair,...innit?
JS, you did ask for help, but I don't know that I can oblige. I had upgraditis as a child and apparently developed an immunity. The last pieces of audio hardware that I got were the M22s over three years ago and I'm completely satisfied. Possibly I could sell blood to those still stricken?
John, walk towards the towers...toooowaaardsss the toweeeersssss.

Jserv, from what I gather I live ~30 miles north of you and, as my kind and charitable nature demands, would be happy to drive south and divest you of your equipment therefore leaving you with no logical reason to fear "upgrade-itis"

I'm soooo helpful.

/Jack
JohnK, you and me both. Part of what's funny about upgradeitis is that you have to convince yourself you're not satisfied. I know i could have a system that sounded better by improving x, y, and/or z, but I could care less. That's not saying I would take a pair of QS4s and a new receiver if they were handed to me.
