You know your old when you and the wife go out on your 25th anniversary to a local roaring 20's theme restaurant, have a little wine, sneak over to your place of employment to have some brewski's, get more than a little loaded, call your son to give you a ride home and let everyone you know at your favorite message board that you are plastered. Whooppee!

One should never mix wine, beer and keyboards. The effects of the wine and beer disappear in the morning, sort of, but the embarassing gibberish you typed the night before will still be there.

When the hair folicals on your head are so plugged up that the hair can't get out. So it starts growing out of your nose and ears.

You know you're old when you can remember the phone no. you had when you were 5, but can't remember your CURRENT phone no.!

Can sing the complete lyrics of every song in the top 100 for each year 1956 thru 1962, but have no idea of whomever is even popular today

I'm with ya Oz.
At least once a week I find some long hair growing of the top of one ear or the other that just seems to have sprouted over night.

it's like your hair grew to 5'11" and your body grew to 6'

i'm starting to have some of the same issues!

I grew up to 5'9" and my hair grew with me.

I shrunk back to 5'5" and my hair stayed at 5'9"........

.....and then I walked out from under it.

i got that old feeling the other day when i was talking with a lady i work with, and her 14 year-old daughter had come up to the office to visit.

we were discussing music, and the girl was excited about some band that is/was coming to town. she was talking about burning cd's, and ipods.. i was talking about cd's and records. the girl turned with a stone cold face and said, "i have never seen an actual record in my whole life". one, it made me feel old.. and two, she used the phrase "whole life", like 14 was on the down hill slide...?

if she only knew..

Hi bigjohn, know exactly how you feel

I'm doin' everything I can with my Grandkids so that they don't find themselves embarassing themselves thru ignorance or embarassing somone else with an event like that which you had to endure.

We started with the basics....

"...and Thomas Edison spoke into the drum machine: Mary had a little lamb....."

Even though we no longer have a record player and most all of our platters died in storage, the kids have seen me hugging my dear old RCA "Red Seal" recordings of Carusos' greatest hits of 1907 thru 1923(since remastered sometime in the 1950s on 33 anna third)

They know...they understand.
