I like to peruse the two Frappr Axiom maps, now and then, just to see who is where. I love that we have someone in Germany, and Turkey, and, of course our friend, Nat, in Oman. But, If you'll go to the Axiom Owners Map, use the arrows or zoom thingy in the upper left hand corner, and zip over to China, you'll find an interesting owner. Does anyone, apart from me, find it incongruous that a person in that profession would obtain the Axioms in that manner. Hope it's not just a joke.

Kinda disappointing that we have 98 members on the "Owners" map, but only 35 on the Axiom Auditions Map. I don't mean to fault anyone who isn't willing to demo their Axioms. I find that perfectly understandable. I just wish there were more who WERE willing.

Make it 36 ... though they can hear a few other speakers while here ...

Atta Boy! Someday, when circumstances allow, I hope I'll be able to come back and spend a little time listening to some Diana Krall on the Essence setup. I WAS impressed by the little ACI monitors/UFW-12 combo in the basement. Smooooooth!

There is even a guy in Hawaii, hope we don't get a bunch of trolls putting fake entries...

fyi Jack, you can also drag the map with your mouse while holding down the left button, this way you don't have to use the arrow thingies.

That guy in Hawaii, is haoleb. He is a long time, regular (if not frequent) poster here on the forum. He's had a 2 channel M80 system for a long time. I see by his message on the map that he's finally expanding to a full 7.1 system with an EP600.

Thanks Randy. I've been doing that, but for some reason, on my computer, the page will often "hang," making my trip to China slower than the fabled "slow boat" of song, as in "I'd like to get you, on a slow boat to China, all to myself, alone." (Am I showing my age, yet? ) Sometimes it's just easier to use the arrows.

Trust me Jack.

Thats not the 1st time you've shown your age.

I won't be allowing people in to my home to hear my system unfortunately. It has nothing to do with me however, my girlfriend upon hearing the idea was very firm "You are not inviting random strangers in to our house! What if they are just casing the place to come back and steal your speakers!"

While I find her paranoia in this funny since she is not this type of person at all I have to respect her decision .

In reply to:

That is always a concern when inviting "strangers" into your home. I too was a little apprehensive at first but I was just dying to meet other folks who shared my interest in the audio/HT hobby (none of my local friends do...some even think I'm crazy ($$$) but all agree that it sounds great). I've had 5 people over that I met through the Axiom site and I'm happy to report that all were wonderful people and each and every visit was a delightful experience. I have also visited some of them as well. I guess I've been lucky.

Mike, I'm just biding my time. Next time I'm in Dallas, I'm going to make an unannounced 2am visit and make off with your TV....

Damn, I think I just blew my plan.

Peter
You're welcome to my tv next time you're in town.
It sucks.
Seriously though. When and if you make it to Dallas again, let me know.
I'd like to meet you and throw back a few beers.

Make sure you let me know as well...probably be persuaded to make a run to Dallas for the day to meet with you guys...

Regards,

Party at Mike's! Maybe we can turn it into a central US Axiom meetup? We'd need to raise bigjohn from the dead, as well.

You know you are welcome anytime but you can't pinch the TV. BTW,
I just got a HD receiver and the picture is jaw dropping.

That would be so cool! My home is open. You just let us know when.
