Oh, come now Bren. You can be more PC than that. It's Merry ChrismaHannuKwanzicah, not Happy Holidays.

I was wondering where Bren has been hiding? Have been missing the old Bren wit! Merry Christmas to one and all!
Cheers,
Shaun

Haven't been avoiding you guys... keeping up with the VERY active forums here is almost a full-time job unto itself...
I feel guilty when I fall behind here... but I lose hours a week reading and posting.

I keep saying I'll stick to one board (like Technical) and just read that... but those (540 New) in the other boards call to me.

Always interesting things going around here... quit my position with the arena in the broadcast department looking to either move to the Eastern US seaboard for a season or overseas to Northern Ireland to set up some new venues there. No worries, not expatriating, just term stuff!

Guess time will tell.

As for Merry Christkakwanzikah... those Virgin Mobile commercials are one of the most offensive things I've seen in a while. Thought as a society we'd be past East Indian, homosexual, and Orthodox Jewish stereotypes... nothing like a throwback to the xenophobic 50s and 60s and Jerry Lewis playing Japanese characters with the thick Tojo glasses and overbites - whooboy, those were enlightened times.

See? Give me a forum, I make it a soapbox... it's a terrible character flaw.

One reason we love the open forums...

Merry Christmas and wishes for good traction while driving.

And for anyone who isn't getting a white Christmas here is a photo for you taken about a 15 minute walk from my front door. Have a seat and enjoy the fresh air.

click me

For what it's worth in my part of Southern Ontario we only get a white Christmas about 60% of the time. Based on temperature predictions this year is gonna be white. I love it but must admit once January comes I'm looking for spring.

Holidays? As in Christmas, New Years and such? Is it *that* time again...already? Sheesh, where does the time go.

Wayne - remind me to post a pic of what I think of the snow here on the prairies later tonight when I unload my camera...

4 days... just kept snowing... un-bloody believable!

Post away, I've got relatives in Winterpeg and they're forever bugging me about how easy our winters are.

Then again you've never lived until you see 1/2 inch of snow bring 8 lanes of traffic to a halt.

Here are 2 pics of the Dwight beach / launch taken a few weeks back. Great family beach in the summer - sandy and shallow for quite aways out.

Ah, the memories.

We gave up a house on a lake in Michigan, to become landlocked in Florida.

I MISS THE SNOW!!!

TERRIFIC! I just happen to have a few tons of the stuff I'd be glad to let you have! Count your blessings, you old goat!

(Boy! Does IT feel good to refer to somebody else as on the forum as an "old goat." Ironically, I've called my 93 year old Mother that since long before she actually was one. To this day I affectionately call her "Mrs. Goat." )
