Well i finally got my speakers a week ago today and boy oh boy oh boy. I have never been happier. Before I start let me list the components:
Fronts - M50ti's
Center - VP100
surrounds - Qs4's
Sub - None (Ugh!!) Anyway
Receiver - Denon 2805
DVD - Pioneer DV-563A
Tv - Sony 34xbr910
Cablebox - Scientific Atlanta HD8300
Remote - Harmony 659

And that wraps up the equipment.

First of all, i never felt happier. I set the speakers up and fiddled with placement and hooked everything up. I love the Denon. I hit one button and it auto did everything. Distance , Delay, and whatever else it did. No problemo.

Fired it up and whoa!!! Merry Christmas and Happy new Year.

Let me just say that I am thrilled with these speakers. The Boston Cherry is beautiful and it just fits perfectly in the living room. movies are wonderful again. I really wish I had the extra money for the sub, but unfortunately yada, yada, yada. Not for nothing, the m50ti's are not that lacking in the bass department. You kind of have to turn them up a little before you notice, but it does pump it out. I am really pleased with them and these guys at Axiom rock. I just wanted to spew that out.

Ps. Watching LOTR's, Saving Private Ryan, Sin City, and last night War of the Worlds was just fantastic. Tonight - Kingdom of Heaven - can't wait

Hey Tas,

Welcome and I'm glad you are enjoying your system. I also have the 2805 and do use the mic for the delay and level setup, however, I would recommend you going into the setup menu, arrow down to the RoomEQ part and turn that off. I found it made my M60's sound like the midrange was to high. Alan from Axiom has even recommended not using the EQ part of these autosetup receivers as it can make good speakers sound worse. I agree with you on the delay and levels, it does a pretty good job, however, I found that once I got a Radio Shack SPL meter and calibrated everything using the receivers pink noise test, it was a little off.

Welcome. Congrats on the system!

A sub will find its way there sooner or later.

Congrats on the new system. I think you did the right thing buying the speakers you want and waiting for a sub... that works out much better than being 70% happy with everything. I started with a pair of M2s and added the rest over time...

Nice to hear you are having a great time with your speakers. When and IF you get a sub (naw you GOTTA get a sub sooner or later ) watching those movies will be a whole new experience.

I found this to be true as well with my 3805. The SPL meter is real handy for getting this adjusted properly.
