This years Jazz fest is on and has a stellar lineup. The opening weekend is April 28 - 30 and includes perfomances by The Meters, Dave Matthews Band, Bob Dylan, Yolanda Adams, Allen Toussaint with special guest Elvis Costello, Ani DiFranco, Dr. John, Keb’ Mo’, Yerba Buena, Rebirth Brass Band, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Irvin Mayfield & the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Galactic, Snooks Eaglin, Cowboy Mouth, Clarence “Frogman” Henry, Terence Blanchard, Walter “Wolfman” Washington & the Roadmasters, the subdudes, John Mooney & Bluesiana, Anders Osborne & BeauSoleil just to name a few. The second weekend, May 5- 7, comes in just as strong with Fats Domino, Jimmy Buffett, Lionel Richie, Paul Simon, Keith Urban, The Ohio Players, Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, Special Ed & Big Daddy Kane, India “The Princess of Salsa”, Irma Thomas, Doug Kershaw, Little Feat, Koko Taylor, The Radiators, Pete Fountain, Donald Harrison with special guests George Coleman & Eddie Palmieri, Buckwheat Zydeco, & Deacon John . If you would like the complete lineup let me know. I would love to meet some fellow Axiomites there and this city needs an economic boost.

Psycho this is a stellar lineup indeed! Buckwheat Zydeco, Doug Kershaw, Subdudes, Keb'Mo' and Koko Taylor ... wow, wish I could be there but unfortunately work will interfere. That sucks. Anyplace we can send a donation?

BTW ... Long time no hear and how did you make out after Katrina?

Too bad you can't make it. It promises to be one of the best Jazz fest so far. As far as donations go, www.habitat.org/musiciansvillage is one I think you can get behind .
I had a good bit of damage from Katrina but it's almost repaired now. I'm almost ready to post pictures of my setup.
