My Computor room Is 11' wide x 13'4" long.I have a
samsung LN-4096D LCD 1080P TV.I am looking to purchase the Elite Blue Ray DVD player when it is available. At the moment I don't have a reciever or amp.I need advise on which speaker system to purchase to work well in my room. Can I go with a 7.1 system In this small room? How do the axiom speakers compare with a pair of B & W 805 Matrix Shelf speakers? I have them in my den.

Angel, welcome. In your size room M22s should be excellent, along with QS4 surrounds. As to whether a 7.1 setup would be worthwhile, it depends more on your distance from the wall behind you than on just the size of the room. If there would be at least 4' behind you for a back surround effect to develop, then it should be considered. If on the other hand you'll be right up against the back wall, then stay with 5.1.

Hello JOHNK. Thanks for the advise. What is the difference in sound between the QS4 & QS8 ? Is it just more power or a better sound. Also Which center and sub should I get? Have you ever heard the B & W matrix 805 book shelfs. How do they compare with Axiom.I have the B & W matrix 805's in my den. They don't make them anymore.I plan to get the Elite Blue Ray DVD player.I have the samsung LN-4096D (1080P) LCD TV.I would like to get the most out of it with the rest of the equipment.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Angelo,

Welcome. The Qs8's have bigger woofers/drivers (5.25" versus 4"), so they will perform better in the bass category. Also, they can take an amp upto 400watts versus 175watts. There are a few other differences, if you check the specs on the product page. Keep in mind you can order from the Factory Outlet and save 10%.
