Ravi, on Axiom's Canadian page for Sherwood Newcastle the P-965, which is shown at $1,499.95 U.S., is priced at $1,875 CAD, so if the 972 is $1,499 U.S. it'll likely be $1,875 CAD.

Ouch - $2500 for the R-965. I presume the R-972 will be around that price. Too rich for my blood.
Surely they will have other similar models with less bells and whistles that will be cheaper. Maybe I'll wait until one of those comes along.
We pay higher tax in Canada than you do in the USA for electronics. So something at $1500 USD is about $1800 CAD with the conversion, plus all the added taxes will put it over $2k for sure.
I may be an occasional visitor - but unless they've slid Calgary south while I was napping last night, I'm still on the north side of the 49th ...
Going back to what John K said in the second post, a piece that is at the 1500 USD MSRP mark is on the Axiom site at 1875 ... so I'm cautiously optomistic.

1875 plus tax puts it at around $2k, which is still expensive, but cheaper than $2500...
