Noticed that most of the other manufactures center speakers have ports on the front or on the back. Why doesn't the VP150 have any? Will it make a difference in sound or bass if it did?? Will it make voices not sound so boxy?? Just thought I'd ask.

Thanks.

The simple answer is that it doesn't need to be ported. I think its low end is somewhere around 80 Hz and it doesn't have to be any lower than this for center content. A ported design would boost low frequencies at the expense of definition and possible "one note boom". Sorry to hear that your VP150 sounds "boxy".

Maybe a clearer definition of boxy would help, as you may have a placement problem or an actual issue with a driver. I have never heard ayone describe an Axiom speaker as sounding boxy.
