I'm getting a NAD receiver with Audyssey MultEQ XT Room Correction as well as five Axiom speakers and an EP600 sub (all on layaway as I'm doing some redecorating but wanted to lock in the high gloss promo). Possibly a dumb ?, but do you think I'll have a case of dualing/conflicting algorithms given the special DSP in the sub? Worst case is that I just do a manual setup. Seems many people who use such automated speaker setups end up opting for manual due to problems during setup or just concluding they like the sound better sans EQ.

I have heard the audessey does a poor job with low frequencies.

I have the ep500 and a denon 3808 which also has auddessey EQ.

Audessey set my sub volume to -12db (but checking with an spl meter it was pretty closely calibrated with my other speakers).

However, the distance was way off. You will have to manually adjust the distance of your ep600. You will probably have to experiment, but try setting the distance 6 feet more than it actually is. This will account for the DSP circuitry.

Blu, the DSP in the sub has a different function than Audyssey(no room correction is applied)and there's no conflict. The latest Audyssey MultEQ XT, which you'll have, has filters designed to handle the lowest bass frequencies for the sub with especially high resolution and apply correction in the bass, where it's generally most needed.
