When i first found this site and discovered Axioms i thought it was funny that their floor speakers where named M60's and M80's

It reminded me of the FIRSTBLOOD movie when JOHN RAMBO shoots the town up with that M60 machine gun! The M80 must be its big brother?

What does the M stand for in Axioms speakers? M=Model?

M-60s and M-80s are types of fireworks but I doubt that’s what the Axiom names mean, I’m going to guess that “M” stands for “Main(s)” but I don’t know for sure.

I was an 0331 in the Marine Corps and humped a M60. AFAIK there is no M80 machine gun but the ammo we used was M80 ball ammunition mixed with M62 tracer. How’s that for some totally useless info.

wouldnt it be more correct to say Millennia 80?

So the correct Model should be MM80 or better M&M80

They came!! On Family Day ! That was so fast. I will now always remember my first family holiday when my AXIOM M60 speakers arrived!

Opened them up and cannot find a thing wrong , not a mark!

I was half expecting to find a scratch or somthing? They were labled on EBAY referbished and found around AXIOM. They appear to look brand new!

They are a little bigger then i had expected but thats good! And after cranking them to some tunes and movies i cannot imagin why i would need M80's
