Hi,
I own a pair of MT60i for about a year now and very happy with them.
Now I finished my basement and I would like to build a HT around those front speakers.
Given the size of my media room (20' x 15') Epic 60 looks like an overkill.
Would it be wise to complete the system with pieces from Epic 50?

Thanks,
VR

I have a room similar in size, I would go with the qs8's, vp150 and a sub. I'm not sure what to recomment for a sub, the 350 seems to be the most recommended, but many go with other companies. Do a search on subs, there's a lot of info here. The qs8's sound great. I've had both the vp100 and vp150, I 150 sounds full, the 100 was light sounding with the m80's.

Good luck,

Rick

I agree. If you're staying with Axiom, go QS8, VP150, and EP350. It's not overkill at all. You can always just turn the volume down a little. Besides, the QS8 are not just louder than the QS4, they sound better and disperse more sound. Just as the VP150 will play voices clearer AND louder than a VP100. It's worth the extra cash, trust me.

I would agree, stick with the 150 and QS8s. I just got those and the M60s and it's a nice match. Anything smaller might not sound full enough IMO.

I don't have a sub yet but I don't think I'll get an Axiom when I do. We'll see.

Throw in my vote for the VP150 and QS8's. You won't regret it at all. I have the EP175. I've never had a sub before to compare it to. I'm sure others here can steer you in the right direction in regards to a good sub.
