Anyone using Onkyo Receivers with your Axioms.

I have an Onkyo 700 which has been great but it is powering some smaller BA bookshelves.

Thanks

Onkyo will power Axiom speakers just fine. No need to worry about that. Just about any good receiver will power Axiom speakers. If you buy M80;s, they are 4ohm speakers, just be sure the model you buy is capable of powering a 4ohm load without difficulties.

I've been using the Onkyo 600 with my Epic Master System for the past 10 months and absolutely love it. You should do well with the 700; like Ravi mentioned, just check your receiver specs before trying to power any 4 ohm speakers.

Nope no 4 ohms, looking at the M60s, VP150, and QS8.

I believe the QS8s and VP150 are 6 ohms while the M60s are at the standard 8. Thanks

Canman

I have a denon worth 600$ that powers the VP150 and QS8 and it has no problems at all. It gives 70wpc into 8 ohms, 110 wpc into 6ohms. They play louder without distortion than my ears can take in a 20 by 12 room (no carpet, 11 foot ceilings).

I think any Onkyo will have very similar power sections to the Denon I have.
