...today. I have the original with the Component only and HD content came down just fine. Sound is only in stereo for now, but I started "30 Rock" (never having seen the show before). I was really surprised how quickly it started and how nice it looked.

FYI, speakeasy test rates my ISP at about 11Mbps download pretty consistently.
Yeah, thats what I thought with the bit of the Pirates of the Carribean segments I watched.

Wow, some of the originals are still alive, huh?
Yeah, I have a non HDMI box, but I am on my 4th one.

My friend has an HDMI box that is about a year old. It just got the RROD a couple of days ago

The thing is, I am a bit anal about cooling (my IT background I guess). So I have NYKO fan, plus an external fan. I basically have external cooling for my DVR, PS3, Xbox360 and my Denon (and my Marantz at the other place). It's cheap insurance and it works.

(typing this on a laptop with.....a cooler of course! \:\) )
Your external fan may be the ticket, but I always read conflicting reports about those third party coolers. It seems like I always read something about them causing more trouble than they solve. When I move my system I'm going to try to work something out for where I store all of my gear.

Probably kids who don't know hot to install them. All you have to do is touch the unit with and without the fans. It's not rocket science!
