I recently order from the factory outlet, and my speakers are suppose to arrive middle of next week. I have a couple question.
First I check my tracking number and it says my package is only 12 lbs! I order Pair of QS8, pair FMSQS stands, and VP100 center. I know it should weigh more than 12 lbs, right?

Oh yea about the fronts, I already have pair of M3ti that I bought a little over a year ago. I have a average room 17x8 feet. I was wondering if I would benefit if I upgraded to M22's. Or do you think my M3ti would be good for that room size.

I'm eagerly waiting to hook up my 5.1 system. I'm hooking all this to a Marantz sr7001 receiver. I'm really looking foward to this, its been so long that I have stereo sound... time to upgrade to 5.1 surround

Thanks in advance :).

Don't worry, Fedex usually only issues a tracking number for 1 item, in this case it sounds like one FMSQS stand, which weighs 12 lbs, is the index item for tracking the entire shipment. Each item generally is shipped in its own box so you will be looking for 5 boxes. Sometimes all of the boxes will not arrive at the same time but if that happens call Axiom to followup, anyway the straggler(s) will normally appear the following day.

One recent order I made was four qs8s and a vp150, fedex stated that the entire shipment weighed 1.0 lb (maybe this was the shipping instructions?) but everything arrived on time in perfect condition.
SatKartr, thanks for clearing that up for me. I almost thought that I'm not going to get everything I ordered. \:\)

I can't wait to get the speakers. Thankyou!
No problem, we all know how nerve wracking the wait can get.
Waiting is long... (isn't it by definition?) ;\)
I never did a direct compare between M3 and M22 (to address your other question!), but from what I gathered here, if you can get a good exchange using Axiom's trade-up program and are using a decent sub, it might be worth it to move to M22.
Back waiting now... I am still waiting for my future M90 (or M100) to be designed, let alone be delivered at my doorstep! \:\)

PS: I didn't do a compare between M3 and M22, but I have heard M3s in my appartment next to my M80s.
My dad wants Axiom to come out with a new top-of-the-line floorstander so he can get my M80s.
Your dad's got it made in the shade with that hand-me-down program of yours, doesn't he, I guess anyone with as much patience as he appears to have deserves to reap the rewards.
Ha ha, I suppose. Maybe I'll be a jerk and give one M80 to him and the other to someone else, just to keep things interesting.
Ooh, now that would be mean. \:D What do you think he'd do?
I really don't know. He'd have to laugh, though, right?
Kak, the bigger question is do you like your music/movies more upfront and detailed or more laid back, that is the biggest difference in moving from M3 to M22. The m3s are more laid back and the M22 more up front and analytical and sound so sweet, at least to me, at lower volumes which is great in smaller rooms.

How does the M22's next to the M80's? I'm curious.

Yea I would like to be upfront, maybe the m22's would be my next purchase :).
M80s and M22 sound very similar, just the M80s offer more bass and detail and play louder. In my direct comparisons the M22s have sounded thinner than the M80s, toss in a sub and the differences are very minor.
I would agree with Jay. The difference between the M80 and M22+sub is noticable but not huge.
I need to add a little to my M22+sub statement. The sub needs to be a good sub. The M22s with my 13 yr old costco special 200W 12" didn't compare to the M80s, especially in the bass department, now that I have added the PB13 Ultra, the differences are much less.
I took you guys advice and used the Trade-In program to upgrade to the M22's and FMS16. Now all I have to do is wait for the M22's to arrive... I'm very excited to hear my new 5.1 system when everything arrive to my doorstep (Vp100, QS8's, and M22). Right now I don't have any speaker because I already pack my good old M3ti and going to ship it soon. I appreciate it!

Thanks guys!
Should have waited to pack up the M3s then you could compare the M3s and M22s. \:\)
Cool! Hope the wait will be short! \:\)
Congrats, I know we'll all be interested in hearing your thoughts on the differences.

Jason
Good choice Kbox. Let us know your impressions when they arrive.
Maybe I should order some more too... Audiobytes?!

Darn, you are totally right... should have waited, but I was too excited so I packed fast.
Thanks to all \:\) . Can't wait to get my speakers, I'm really excited! Right now I'm using my TV's speakers, and I can totally tell the differences between the TV speakers and my former M3ti, I really appreciate it you guys thanks!
Congrats, enjoy them when they arrive.
Look what I made me do... Audiobytes got ordered last night.
Cool! You're pre-committed for a review sometime between now and Christmas, or if you're waiting until Christmas, between then and New Year's. It'll give us all something to read while off during the holidays. \:\)

Jason
Excellent! Those are little marvels!
Which finish did you choose?
Stunt Gibbens, Congrats! You made a fine purchase, did you order the subwoofer as well? \:\)

EFalardeau, I ordered the speakers in Black Oak. It was either Black Oak or Boston Cherry, so I choose Black Oak.

I'm trying the blue that looks like a car finish. It should match my pc case. (plus sub)
I keep hearing 'trade-in program'... how does that work? Do they give you a certain percentage of the original price of your speakers when you purchased them? Or is it a certain percentage off of any new (upgraded) speaker you purchase when you give them your old speaks back?

Not that I would need that program anytime soon as I am just about to purchase my very first set of Axioms. But if I were to get the EP600 let's say & 6 months from now I decided I would like to try the EP800 instead, how would the upgrade program work for me?
Here's the link Micah. Input what speaker you have and how old it is there, and they'll tell you what it's worth on a trade-in. The caveat is that there is also a minimum purchase amount that applies to any trade-in, and it's generally a fair amount more than the speaker you're trading in (i.e. they want you to trade UP). \:\)

As an example, for my 1-year old EP600, I could get $1700 back in the trade-up program, but I have to spend a total of $2800 on new Axiom stuff to get the $1700 discount. It's a good deal, but you'd still have to be ready to spend another $1k or so to trade up to the EP800. However, for that 1K, you could probably get an EP800 and a set of Audiobytes or M22s... all kinds of fun possibilities. \:\)

Jason
Wow, that sounds like an excellent loyalty program to me! And with all the positive reviews & repeat customers (Articdeth excluded), it sounds as if it's a program I will more likely be using than not!
As i remember from last time... waiting bytes! (groan)
