Ordered a set of QS4s and a VP100 to go along with my nearly 7 year old M80s. Along with them I also ordered an Onkyo SR707 from Accessories4Less.
So you're going for the same config as me, although mine was more than a bit accidental.
Couldn't let you be the only one
. How well do the 100 and 4s play with the M80s?
I talked to Axiom about this a bit ago and was told with my seating area fairly close, about 11', the 100 would do well.
They seem to do just fine. I'm always tempted to go for the QS8s when I feel like I have a lot of money sitting around (which I never do), but I'm perfectly happy with the 100 and the 4s.
Thanks Ken, that's good to hear.
awesome Rick, can't wait to see what you think...
It's about
fu... dang time brother!
You'll be quite happy, trust me.
Congratulations Rick...not YOU!!...the other Rick!!
So you've been listening to two channel all this time? Or you had another name brand shouldering that load?
Either way congratulations. Your M80's should be nicely broken in by now. You are much more patient a man than I!
I've been using a Hsu Ventriloquist system with a Hsu STF-3 and an Oknyo SR501 for H/T use.
Out with the Hsu, in with the new, huh?
Looks like it. It will still get good use at my nephews house.
I'm sure you've already been through all of this many times before, but what does the 'Ventriloquist' system include? Is that just a sound bar that creates a phantom surround atmosphere, or actual rear speakers?
Congrats Rick,
I just got the VP100 to go with my M80's and they go together great. Let us know about the QS4's...I'm still debating between the QS4's and QS8's...
Dana
Thanks Dana, that's great news.

Another F1 fan on the forum. Interesting year with all of the new teams. Too bad the USF1 team didn't make it...
Yeah, I was hoping. But given how poorly the other new teams did on the first outing, maybe it's better if they have more time before they have to show up.
That's good news, Rick! Congrats!
Now we can stop making fun of you behind your back.

It was supposed to be behind his back... about the Ventriloquist system .... I'm taking down the website and blog tomorrow
Very good, Rick; that'll sound great(even better if you set that VP100 up on its end)with good material.
Don't worry Rick, I'm no quitter... I'll still make fun of you behind your back.
That's good to know

Hey, what are friends for?
Ok so after clicking on that link I simply have to ask... did they 'astonish you'?
They are really quite remarkable for what they are. Most who have heard them couldn't believe that much sound was coming from that small of a speaker.
They are very good.
Interesting. So dare I ask, what prompted you into getting the M80's to begin with then? Or did those come before the ventilloquists?
I had the M80s long before the Hsu system. The Axioms have been in my two channel system until now. I want to incorporate them into the H/T now.
Gotcha!
Congratulations, Rick. I get new stuff all of the time, but every time someone else gets something new, I want even more new stuff.
My Dad is like that Charles ... he's been married six times.
The VP 100 works great with M80s, but you should have gone for an M22 instead
QS4s or 8s, not a lot of difference, especially with movies, multichannel music might be a different story..
I can't say i thought of a M22 but even so there's no room on the TV stand for a M22.
Congratulations, Rick. I get new stuff all of the time, but every time someone else gets something new, I want even more new stuff.
Yup, I've heard of that sickness before. They call it 'IgetnewstuffallofthetimebuteverytimesomeoneelsegetssomethingnewIwantevenmorenewstuff' syndrome.
