While watching some music videos last night my brother in law was asking about the VP100. While I was telling him that this is Axioms lowest cost center and there is a step up from there the wife pops up and asked me why I didn't get the VP 150.

Of course I told her I was trying to keep cost down while still having great sound. She went and got on Axioms site to look at the differences and I guess she liked what she saw. She had said "it's only $153 more" \:\)

I ordered the VP 150 this morning.

Is this the same kind of deal than when a man buys his wife a fur coat for no apparent reason? ;\)

I hope not \:\) Actually she equally enjoys the system.

Well, that doesn't always work...

When I tried telling my wife why I chose a minivan instead of a Porsche.....

But congrats in this case!

If you will have both speakers there at the same time I would love to hear a comparison of them.

That is a good woman!

I do Randy. That's where I was born and raised, still work there.

A twin as a matter of fact \:\)

Single?

Oh wait a minute, never mind. If the old theory 'good twin/bad twin' holds any truth, then it sounds like you already got the good one!

Thanks Sean, it should be here this week.

Hi. I am about to loosen the purse strings on the VP150 center channel speaker....
Do you think there would be a difference between the "regular" VP150 and the "on-wall" VP150?
Thanks!
my first post

Welcome to the forum \:\)

It is stated the onwall and standard versions are similarly good, meaning sound nearly the same unless A/B tested. I would think the onwall doesn't reach quite as low in frequency as it has a smaller cabinet.

And keep in mind you can't easily aim the w-150 the same as the VP-150. That being said, I have my W-150 just flat mounted on the wall with no issues.

Thanks for the advice....It would be an "under/over the TV wall mount" which would accompany M80's. My components would be in a different room so the wall mounted V150 is appealing to me!
and thanks Jay for having me and my buddy "redsands" over last night to show us your Axiom collection!
If you wanna sell some of it, PM me!!

You are welcome and if you want to drop by for another longer listening session let me know.

I received the VP150 yesterday and got t hooked up. One things fer sure, it's a lot bigger than the 100. No, I didn't do any listening test with both centers, the 100 is already headed back to Axiom.

It does sound pretty darn sweet, that's for sure. More M80 like than the 100, I hope that makes sense.

One thing is for sure. Axiom makes it effortless to upgrade. They even scheduled the pick up. It doesn't get any easier that's for sure.

Now I'm thinking about some on walls for rears \:\)
