Hello Thanks for all the replies. What are some good names for amps? I was looking on ebay and there were alot of amps. Thanks for your help!!!!!!
I have a Rotel amp that I've been very happy with for almost five years.
A lot depends on how much you want to spend....Bryston, Macintosh?
Yamaha, Crown, Behringer, Rotel and what Adrian said.
I wish I had the extra money to buy some McIntosh gear, I've always really like their stuff.
QSC, Mackie to add a couple more well known pro amps.
Bob and Vlad. Definately NOT Bertha...
I think we're getting almost as bad as eBay at this point.
I dunno, I kinda like Bertha as a name for an amp.
Oh, well so long as we're throwing out names that should NOT be used as an amp name, I would have to say that 'DUD' would not fly off the shelf. Nor would 'SUX', 'FART' or 'Heckler & Crotch'. And as far as real names goes, I have to say that I never thought naming your amp 'Xplode' was a particularly brilliant move by Sony. I think that was when it became apparent to me that they had become too big for their britches.
I don't believe I have purchased a Sony product since right around that time now that I think about it.
i have krell amps, and love them. you didn't say what your price range was. you can get a killer amp from krell for 1500-2000$. I have a KAV 250a and a kav250a/3. both amps are 250W at 8ohms and 500W at 4 ohms per channel.. These are some of the best value on the used market, in my opinion.
