I guess calling it the AV-QS8 would be too obvious.

The one thing AV123 is EXCEPTIONAL at is vaporware. Don't buy into the hype. I would be suprised and even impressed if that product ever makes it to market. A company that is a prime example of the charlatans of the audio industry. Buyer beware.

If you can't beat them join them......or at least copy a design from them.


I have always wondered what a QS9 would sound like, to better match the M3 tone, along with a VP120.

The shape of the cabinet looks exactly like their older, discontinued RSS300...which is pictured below.

But they moved the woofers to mimic the QS series which nobody else has followed until now, if it actually makes to production

Emotiva has a similar design to the QS4/QS8.

Absolutely! Many products have been hyped over there but never made it to the market. I suspect the RSS500 will suffer the same fate.

I just thought it was interesting that AV123 decided to place the drivers in a way that resembles the QS8's.

The angled surround design has been around for quite sometime and many manufacturers use it, Paradigm, Emo, av123, a few others I can't quite recall at the moment, but the drivers have always been on the vertical faces, only Axiom went with the top/bottom woofer design, as was stated Flattery is.......

right, but I think Axiom, up until now is the only one I've seen with the 4 driver configuration.

I wish SVS would copy Axiom and build a "QS" using their M-series drivers. They would have to enlarge it to fit them but I bet they'd sound GOOD!
