I am looking for a dedicated center channel stand that will hold the VP180. I have seen the one Axiom offers but I think the asking price is a bit steep and I honestly do not care for the design of it. I have been thinking about the Lovan M2 Lovan I think this stand will work although depth wise it will hang out a little too far for my liking.(basically half of the depth) Since the VP180 will be angled towards ear level I do not think it will be that big of an issue though. I have also been considering purchasing 2 VTI - DFC stands to support the VP180. VTI-DFC

Does anyone have any other ideas or use any other product that I have not come across? The VP180 will be sitting below a projector screen so I prefer something that will allow me to angle the speaker towards ear level. Any thoughts or input would be great!

Like you Steve I am looking for an alternative for my recently purchased 180, it will sit below my 10ft wide screen. The Axiom stand was a bit to pricey for me, so I am looking for alternatives, even DIY methods.

This is still working for me :

I did buy the Axiom stand, just haven't had time to assemble it yet. Maybe tonight...

I wonder if I could rig something up so it would sit on my EP600.

Other than some wierd intermodulation distortion from the VP180 jumping up and down, it should work fine wink

OK, I assembled the VP180 stand last night but haven't fastened it to the speaker yet. Like all Axiom metal stands, they are a bit expensive but when you unpack the price seems fair. For anyone into astronomy it's a lot like assembling a Losmandy mount.

First observation was that the combination of stand height and VP180 height put the top of the VP180 about 6" above the top of my screen. In my case it's OK because I'm planning to raise the projector anyways (and the beam should clear the VP180 at the new height) but whatever stand you look at it's worth thinking extra hard about height.

I did have a "Clams got legs !!" image flash through my head when getting ready to put the VP180 on the stands (Wizard of Id for all you kids).
