Just called and placed my order! M80's, VP150, and QS8's

I'm now off for my vacation... and they are set to arrive the day after I get back!!!!!!!!!!

I was relieved to see that you went with Axiom.. And the M80's no less ! WOW.. I was concerned about those tweeters and their interaction with my room.. My wife says she would be more than happy to send you your very own set of matching "Tweeter Towels" ! She just needed to know what color ??
Did you ask for the resistors ? Probably a good bet to do so.. Wouldn't hurt to have them on hand..
I'm also going to burn you a copy of Michael Burks "Make it Rain".. Don't know why I didn't throw that on Saturday.. Major amounts of quality bass behind a great blues player..

Yeah - in fact, I pushed back the delivery 6 days so that it comes the day after I get back

I really liked the sound and fullness of the M80's - and I'm hoping that my room (carpeted, with more obstructions on the walls) coupled with my HK receiver will alleviate the problems that I had at your place. If not, resistors it is!

I'll be ready for company ~4 hours after receiving the speakers - well not really, I still dont know what to do about connectors and speaker wire - oh god, more research!

Watch out! My Axioms showed up on a Friday when they were supposed to arrive on a Monday. Luckily a neighbor signed for them and I was able to play with them the entire weekend.

The jackass delivery guy actually left them on the doorstep of my apartment. Luckily, my roommate was able to get there before someone walked off with them.

Now you guys got me all worried!!! I'll just place a call to my neighbors and hope that they can intercept any early deliveries.

As for speaker wire, I think you'll find the consensus here is to use 12-gauge speaker wire. You can get by with 14-gauge wire if the runs are less than 25'. Here's an article on impedence from the Axiom newsletter written by Axiom's resident expert Alan Lofft. I use 12-gauge Sound King wire from Parts Express. It's $22.95 for a 50' roll and $35.90 for a 100' roll.
