I like the look of the VP180 stand offered by axiom. However, I am wondering what other options are out there. To anyone with a VP180, what stands are you using?
I don't have a VP180(yet) but I will likely try a home-fabricated stand made of hardwood when the time comes.
Don't have one yet either, but plan on ordering very soon. I was thinking about using the axiom stand and mounting a plasma above it on the wall but am open to other alternatives. I only need a stand that will support the vp180 as my av rack will be off to the side and tv mounted on the wall.
I'm getting one (a VP180) for my new theater, but I am putting it behind an AT screen (shhhh.... Don't tell Alan.) So I will be building my own stand.
I am also looking at other options, or possibly DIY. I like the Axiom stand, but it is a bit pricey for me. With my new remodeling, I will not have the 8" stage below my m80's and center, so need to come up with something.
Since my EP600 is a horizontal design, I'm tossing around ideas of creating some type of buffer/stand between that and my 180. Of course the angles would have to be figured out.
Randy, the price of the vp180 stand is the driving factor for me looking into other options also...
Hi,
You could build a sturdy deep shelf. I run two VP180 the one above the screen is suspended from the ceiling and I built an MDF angled stand for the one below. My room is totally black (all surfaces) pictures are not good at showing what it looks like.
Thanks, I'm thinking a custom stand may be the way to go if I don't spring for the axiom stand.
Chance to build something = chance to buy a new power tool. You can't go wrong.
It seems every job I tackle around the house, I need one or more new tools I don't have yet. I'm getting more money in tools than actually getting any work done.
SPECTACULAR . . .
Ian is a very generous boss ! ! !
The most we get around here is some branded clothing.

Hmmm, actually now that I think of it, the last bit of branded clothing I got actually came from Axiom from the Spring 30th bash.
