Hello everyone,
After 5 agonizing years with a Bose Acoustimass 5.1 system, we will finally be redoing our home theater room to a 7.1 system. I am seriously considering the M22s or the M60s for the fronts. The room is 23' x 16' with a cathedral ceiling, will the M60s be a little overkill for the room? I will also be getting either 4 QS4s or QS8s, which will be on the back wall right above our heads, and right now I am at a loss on whether to get the EP175 or EP350 for this room. Any advice on that? This Bose subwoofer hardly shakes the dust on the case, so I'm sure I'll be happy with any improvement.

The equipment:
Zenith 60'' Plasma HDTV
Anthem AVM20v2 Pre/Pro
Anthem PVA7 for the main room speakers and PVA2 for the multi-zone speakers
Philips Q50 DVD Player
Whatever crappy Motorola Box Comcast Cable gave us.

Thanks

I am quite sure that the M60s would not be overkill for your room. As far as the subwoofers are concerned, how much are you willing to spend? A number of models from SVS or Hsu Research come to mind as better deals than the Axioms.

I'd like to keep it under $800, I'm really looking for a sub that will shake the room during the big action scenes, and do well with a lot of pipe organ music I will be playing too.

Grab a Hsu VTF-3. You'll be in heaven. I also think the M60's would work very well in your room. Welcome to REAL audio.

Give the SVS Plus (CS or PC) a serious look as well. I just received my 20-39 CS+ and, while it is a bit imposing, it REALLY rocks the room.

Yeah, my VTF-3 does a wonderful job on organ pedal tones. In fact, the difficult part has been to tame all the rattles from the things hung on the walls or placed near the sub.

"If you like Pipe organs---this is probably the model to get."

Well in that case, it's the SVS PC+ 16-46. Thank you all for your help, I'll be sure to post some pictures once everything is hooked up.

One thing I forgot, the basic consensus is for the VP150 center channel right? I will have to mount all the speakers, do they come with mounting brackets included?

The VP150 is the way to go. Mounting brackets are not included with anythingbut the QS-series. The Factory Outlet is current selling "Full Metal Brackets" which should work well.
