subwoofer cable length? - 01/09/12 01:19 AM
Question,
I need to run a coax cable through the attic and I currently have a 50 foot coax cable (the thicker, stiffer kind) that is terminated on each in with f-type connectors.
I plan on running that to f-type to rca connector wall plates. I then will have a 10 foot cable that connects my receiver to the first wall plate, and a 4 foot cable that connects the second wall plate to my ep500.
Will the length of cables proposed cause any problems with my sub? I could possibly cut a little of length off the the coax cable in the attic, but not much.
I might add, I connected the sub with the 50 foot coax cable while I was testing it in the new location. It didn't seem to have any adverse impacts, but not sure. Also will be added a couple of connectors and 14 more feet of cable to what I already tried.
Thanks!
