I am looking at a denon receiver for my bedroom 5.1 and another 1080p tv in the bathroom. I have researched many XX12, XX13 and 4311 models but still confused. I also want a CI model for the denon remote app.

I am specifically looking for dual HDMI monitor outs for zone 1 (not the multi switch HDMI Zone 2 in the 3313). I specifically need a receiver that will play both monitors at the same time. I think I've read the XX12 forces you to go to the menus to select an HDMI output but both can't be on. Also passing audio to monitor 2 would be great too so I can use the bathroom tv speakers. If the tv speakers will not work I will use the two in ceiling speakers in the bathroom in A/B form.

Which models will be able to do this?

Why not just get an HDMI splitter to use between the receiver and the two displays.. nice low tech, and inexpensive... would do EXACTLY what you want.....


One of my buddies has this set up between his direct TV box and his living room tv as well as the kitchen TV. Pretty much the exact same thing your wanting to do....

It is best to check other brands. I have a newer Yamaha, that although I don't use both HDMI outs, it will transmit through both simultaneously so I am sure there are others as well.

Not trying to drive you away, but over at avscience they have a dedicated denon thread and jdsmoothie knows these recievers inside out.

Yeah I find posting there sometimes can cause some drama if people think you didn't spend half your life researching.

I had it back wards, the XX11 didn't do simultaneously but the XX12 and up does. I just don't know if they pass audio. I guess if I use the Viera link or something similar it will.

Casey, sorry the only authorized retailers where I am is Denon and Marantz. Personally I stick with some pioneer elites as I have liked them in the past but don't want to deal with warranty issues if something happens.
