When v3's replaced v2's did the vinyl change as well?
The color on the v2 QS4s I recieved look darker than the Boston Cherry shown online.
(I like the color I have)
My v3s are darker as well.
AFAIK, the boston cherry didn't, but the black oak did awhile ago.
Perhaps the mismatch is just between your speakers and their internet depiction, not between your speakers and V3 speakers. Axiom encourages people to get samples if they are concerned. Monitor color calibration is a thing.
I don't remember hearing anything about the Boston Cherry changing, but Axiom doesn't manufacture the vinyl itself, so would be somewhat dependent upon supplier consistency.
I can pretty much guarantee that the colors on the web are not correct.
We received our samples Monday (+1 thanks guys). Naturally we like the most expensive of them.
Keeping with tradition I'm siting on the fence about the color.
We're weighing it out, for the same cost we could upgrade to M80's in the front.
To be more specific, we're thinking about replacing 9 speakers at once. If we went black oak or Boston Cherry I could upgrade either the fronts to M80's or the 6 surrounds to QS8's.
I'll be triple checking the math here asap.
