Hi everybody, first post here.

A couple of years ago I found what I think was a good deal on a local classified, which included 2 m22s, 2 qs8 surrounds, and 1 VP150 center for around $500. All speakers are V2. I've been happy with them, but just noticed some M-60ti speakers on the same classified page for $400 (although he may go lower).

My question is, do you think the M-60ti would be an upgrade worth going for? I know they're an older model, but will the m22s perform as well (when paired with a good sub)?

Thanks!

I run M22V3s each with its own 10" Velo sub (that are used as stands).

I don't think that there would be any advantage to going with the long obsolete M60tis as the M22s are outstanding when paired with a couple of subs...

The key is that you're pairing the 22's with a good sub, which in my opinion means there would be no real-world advantage in going with the older 60's.

Thanks for the quick replies!

Right now I have just a cheap-o 8" Polk sub. I keep wanting to try out a Hsu sub, but unfortunately my wife thinks the Polk sounds fine...

I'll pass on these speakers and save up for a Hsu, or maybe even 2!

Thanks!

smart idea. I am also using M22's and thought they were lacking bass on their own, but once paired with decent subs they are awesome.

I agree with what is being posted here by others. Save the $400 and invest in a sub after you have been able to work around the whole "wife thinks the 8 inch sub sounds fine" issue.

I'm going to agree, also. I don't think that the M60ti's are likely to be noticeably "better" than M22v2's when accompanied by a good sub. I'd absolutely use that money on an upgraded sub instead.
