OK, everything is (almost) ready for my install of a Home Theater system built around a pair of LFR1100 Actives and 10 channels of ADA1500 amps and a new Marantz AV8805 Processor.
I have to schlep the 120 lb. 7 channel beast (Integra Research RDA7) back from the garage. I have a nice VP160, a pair of ELAC ATMOS speakers, QS8s and Mission 77ds surrounds, an EP600 and big HSU.
I am waiting for the OPPO UDP205 to come back.
Should be up and running this weekend, next at the latest.
Will report back.
This will be some fun stuff!
Let m know how you like the Marantz. I am looking at the 8802A.

Phil, I'd be tempted to run the LFRs first without all the other speakers.
and Mission 77ds surrounds
I remember the missions 77's ... back in 1981? 82? they were a bit too pricey for me at the time ... so I went with their little brother.
In 1981, I got my first hi-fi. There it is in the first link below. That was also the year I met Lisa Best...ahem! There she is in all her 80s glory at the second link below.

Hello Rjlitho
I almost picked up an 8802A for $1,400, but got a crazy deal on an 8805. The 8802A has an excellent reputation.
Mr. Mojo!
Yes, I will try the LFR1100s in 2 channel mode first, as soon as the OPPO comes back.
I may borrow a Line Magnetic LM24CD tube output CD player to give the LFR1100s a good 2 channel test. I listened to the LM CD player this morning and was extremely impressed. I think it may sound better than the Marantz SA10 I have in my 2.2 system.
Yup Craig, FUN!
rriev, I picked up the Mission 77ds surrounds years ago for peanuts. They are excellent surround speakers, although I have room for another pair of QS8s or maybe I'll try the QS10s.
Where are the photos? Let us see what you've got going on too.
Ah, yes, photos. Photobucket doesn't work for me anymore. What's the preferred hosting service?
Phil, Steve an I use the following. You dont even have to register.

Phil, do you need help setting everything up?
I hope not, but if you want to come down to California, I'll throw some steaks on the charcoal grill and we can listen to some music and watch a 4K movie of your choice!
My jet is currently being renovated but I'll have my assistant prepare the spare. LOL!
Oh, sorry to hear that. I'll just send my G5 to pick you up.
Don't forget the Grey Poupon.
Don't forget the Grey Poupon.
Thanks for the good laugh this morning, Phil.
