I just received my Epic 60 setup with an upgrade to the VP150 center and am in the process of setting it up. I have a Pioneer VSX-47TX receiver and am using the MCACC automatic setup feature. I am looking for suggestion on whether to select small or large as the settings for the front L&R M60Ti's. In other words, how much bass to pass onto the subwoofer. Any ideas on this setting or on any setup hints, such as placement of speakers, would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time!

I have my M-60's set to small, and the crossover set to 80 Hz for all speakers. These settings work well for me, and it is what is recommended by THX, for what it's worth. Bottom line, you may want to try a lower crossover point for your M60's (60 hz), or set them to large and see what sounds best to you.

The advantage of setting all speakers to small is that the M60's and the amp are freed from the job of reproducing the lowest 2 octaves of bass, which are the most taxing on them. Those frequencies are instead given to the sub and it's amp, which is a specialist in reproducing those frequencies.

try both with a crossover at 100, 80, and 60 and see whta you like best

Thanks for the advice. I switched them all to the small setting and liked the 80HZ crossover best. The system sounds much better than the original setting of large-small-large across the front. I am very happy with the sound. Especially like the quality of the VP150 for dialogue.
