Well I sold my Rotel RB-1070 this weekend. (Making room for the soon to arrive Odyssey Stratos) Since that left me with only 5 channels for the time being, I figured I'd take the M2i's down. I was never impressed with 7.1 anyways. I've put the M2i's in my computer room. I'm loving it! I'm so glad I made the switch. I'm getting MUCH more enjoyment out of the M2i's in my little computer room (playing games and mp3's) than I EVER did using them in a 7.1 configuration.

I don't think I'll be putting them back in the livingroom even when the Odyssey arrives. I'm sticking to 5.1, and keeping those M2i's in my computer room.

...the M2i's are GREAT. I sit only about 3' away from them, and they're perfect!

btw - I've got my computer hooked up to the aux input of a Sony STR-DE545 receiver, the M2i's run through that. I got the Sony for $30 bucks.

Now you need a sub with the computer.

The Hsu STF-1 I think fits the bill nicely.

Mmm, temptation...

Nope...in this tiny room, sitting only 3' away, they've got all the bass I want for MP3's and games.

Nice try Curtis!

you lie
you always want more bass
but sometimes you dont want to pay for it
since its only for comp games and such, look on ebay for a 10 dollar subwoofer. i must admit i like having a boom box sub attached to my computer. especially when playing counterstrike:)

I'm serious. The M2i's are perfect just the way they are for what I'm using them for. I don't play things very loud at all upstairs.
